~ Tulku Sangye Tenzin Meditation Lessons, Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche Dechod Practice, Saraha Events Dec. 2016 ~

MWF Dec. 2-28, 6-7 PM
Meditation Class, Teachings and Practice
with Tulku Sangye Tenzin
On MWF's in Dec., from 6-7 pm, Saraha visiting Buddhist teacher Tulku Sangye Tenzin Rinpoche will teach on the subject of meditation and lead meditation practice in the Saraha Shrine.

Tulku Sangye Rinpoche is an ordained Buddhist monk and a recognized Tulku, or incarnate Lama, of the Nyingma Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Rinpoche is also Khenpo, or preceptor of Buddhist science, having received this advanced doctoral-level degree from Namdroling Monastery & Institute, where he taught classes for several years prior to his current visit.

As a monk, Rinpoche embodies the renunciation and discipline of the Buddhist monastic community of ordination, stretching back in an unbroken tradition to the time of Buddha Shakyamuni, over 2000 years ago. As a Khenpo, he is an accomplished young scholar and teacher. As a Tulku he embodies the continuous mind and activity of an awakened spiritual leader, path, lineage and accomplishment. Simply as a person Rinpoche is very noble and understanding, friendly, intelligent, careful, kind and caring.

So it has been a blessing to have Rinpoche visit us here at Saraha these past few months.  Now, after having been with us for this time, Rinpoche is ready to begin offering teachings! This month's meditation teachings are wonderful development, a rare and happy occasion that people should rejoice in and attend.

These meditation teachings will be suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators. Open to the public, everyone welcome...

Winter's End of (Including the Tax) Year
 is here.

This heartfelt Saraha, non-profit, tax-deductible effort, is now five + years in the running. Daily scheduled practice, daily study, daily public shrine, volunteer work and cleaning, onsite residences of Lamas and translators, onsite children's school, onsite library, online teachings and international presence from Eugene to Timbuktu.

While daily practice and facility, always offered locally and to the world, continue straight up, the background costs of the Institute, both building structure, maintenance, repair and extensions, and the residencies of our resident Lama and translator remain financially submerged.

Saraha Children's School, which bootstrapped itself up from nowhere is, in its mission to establish a real children's school with a heart of Dharma education, growing and flourishing, indisputably and beautifully. But as the school grows, costs increase, so even SCS is economically just clunking along, monthly on the very verge. And there are so many things we have never been able to get around to, and a lot more we could do for the school and the kids...

As we have said before, we can do all these things, and with  your help, we can do even more. We fear the day is waning where we can make this promise...

Please help Saraha with your kind end of the year tax-deductible donation.  We especially need help in the winter to cover incidental school and heating expenses.

If, instead of general expenses, you would prefer to designate your donation for a particular cause, may we suggest some timely needs...
. Funding to support to help pay the Winter' utilities bill, which, with two residents onsite, the children's school running M-F & daily adult activities, especially in the evenings, significant.

. Funding to support this Winter's visit and activities of visiting teacher Tibetan Lama Tulku Sangye Tenzin Rinpoche at the Institute ($350/month) ...
. Funding to complete the Wooden Deck being build out around the back of the Institute ($3,000)(stage 1)
. Funding for Impoverished Students to attend Saraha Children's School ($5000 annual tuition) or any donation to support our children ...

The very existence of Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute,  a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, relies on the kind support of people like you.  If you want to make a large donation (above a few hundred dollars), please call us to arrange or send us a check in lieu of online payment...

Otherwise, Here is the online DONATE LINK...
The Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute, or "Saraha" for short, is a registered 501(c)(3) status non-profit religious organization based in Eugene, Oregon, USA.  Following the Buddha's teachings of Enlightenment, and practicing according to the Dudjom Lineage of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism, Saraha offers a full schedule of regular temple meditation events, special teachings events, and educational courses.
