Blood Brothers
Year 10 Drama students visited the Orchard Theatre, Dartford, to see Blood Brothers.
The story is a contemporary ‘nature versus nurture plot’ revolving around fraternal twins Mickey and Eddie who were separated at birth. One was raised in a wealthy family while the other was raised in a poor family.
The twins' different backgrounds take them to opposite ends of the social spectrum, one becoming a councillor and the other unemployed and in prison. They both fall in love with the same girl, causing a tear in their friendship and leading to the tragic death of both brothers.
For many of the students this was the first time they had seen a live theatre production.
They have returned to drama lessons with fresh ideas and thoughts on how they can create the best possible piece of Drama for their mock devised unit.
Head of Drama Mr Nick Bell said: "A brilliant evening of music, laughter, tears and surprise was had by all."
