We're up and running with our Christmas menu FROM TONIGHT, and very effective it is too. There's nothing surer to rid the palate of humbug and bring about the flavour of Christmas cheer.

The Smeltery is our new restaurant at mima art gallery in Middlesbrough. It's not a vegetarian restaurant, but a slow food place - and an art work!
And what we're doing is, exclusively for our Waiting Room mailing listers, is offering special rehearsal night tickets: TONIGHT, and THIS TUESDAY NIGHT.
We'll do you £10 for two courses - and practice our flow on you...
The Smeltery Christmas menu begins on Tuesday evening, with a fantastic Freerange bistro menu on the blackboard tonight.
You can book a place by emailing luke@thewaitingroom.uk, or better still by phoning on 01642 245679. Please quote "I'm on The Waiting Room mailing list" to book at £10 per head. (Applies tonight and Tuesday night) ;Oh go on then - we'll make the same offer for tomorrow's Smeltery Sunday Lunch (12pm-4pm).

The Smeltery is open until December 23rd and reopens on January 3rd.
THE WAITING ROOM is open as normal up to and including Christmas Eve, Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day (Sunday and Monday) and then open up to and including New Years Eve. We will then be closed for 2 days, on Jan 1st and 2nd.
We are now taking bookings for our Special Waiting Room New Year's Eve Dinner. It's £32 - we'll put the menu out next week.
