Love Has Come
The world is looking for love. . . everywhere and in everything. But what it doesn't know is that 99% of what it finds is counterfeit. But this season we celebrate the true love that is 100% real. This Christmas, love has come. If you do not know this love in a real and personal way--if you do not have a relationship with Jesus as real as with any friend here on earth--please stop what you are doing right now and call me. (I'm very serious 214-477-2332)
Let not another day go by without knowing the One who loves you with an everlasting love and draws you with unfailing kindness (yes, YOU! Jeremiah 31:3) and wants to be the Savior of your soul. There is nothing in the world that compares to this love, despite all the ways the enemy wants to convince you otherwise. Second Corinthians 4:4 says, "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." I am praying right now for the blindness to be lifted and for the light of the gospel to be clear to you. . .for Jesus to flood you with His love so overwhelmingly that no deception can prevail. Not only does your eternity depend on a relationship with Jesus in this life, but your life here finds true purpose only in knowing your Creator in a personal way.

God's Word, the Bible, is a lamp to our feet and a light showing the way.
Is it that for you? Is it what you reach for when your life is falling apart? Are His words what your heart embraces when it needs comfort? Is it where you go to find the true, unconditional love the world cannot offer? Nothing. . .and I do mean nothing. . .can comfort our heart and calm our spirit like God's Word and Holy Spirit. Here at UBO, we eagerly want that for those who are hurting, hungry, and in desperate physical and spiritual need. We want His Word to be a lamp and a light to all in Dallas that are hurting, hungry, and in need, because we know that even those of us who are well-fed and have plenty of warm clothes desperately need Him and His Word too.

Sign-ups have begun! Operation Care International's annual "Christmas Gift 2016" is nearly here and
we need you at the Dallas Convention Center on December 17th! Would you sign up to help UBO for a 2 hour shift anywhere from 8am-3pm? Either Mike or I will be there all day to help and lead, so you will not be on your own. It is simply a matter of handing out Bibles (and pray silently that the Spirit will move hearts). Truly a moving experience as you watch people pass from spiritual death to eternal life!
