Thank you for your interest in my book 'The Jesus Candidate: Political Religion in a Secular Age'.
Due to a health issue affecting a key member of the publishers' team, it will not now appear until the new year. Sorry about that.
However, with the Religious Right positioned near the heart of a new American presidency, political liberalism under challenge, and debate over the balance of equality and religious freedom in 'British values' after Brexit, I have no fear of the book becoming outdated in 2017!
The Jesus Candidate says the way to defend Christian liberty is to uphold equality. Friends have asked about the publicity surrounding the Ashers Bakery case. Does it change my argument?
