Confectionery! in NYC

Hello friends.

We’re deep in the holiday madness. Have been for weeks. It’s on. It feels so good to be bustling around making all these treats for you, I can’t even tell you. Our crew is such a dream. I love coming to work. Which is good since I spend pretty much every hour of the day here. Enough about us, let’s talk about you. First, try to get your holiday orders to us in the next week, OK? That’ll help us make sure we can get them to you in time and we don't sell out of anything. Which is a thing that happens. Every year. So don't be disappointed by ordering December 20th! You can select an arrival date when you check out so everything arrives just at the right time. Kindly remember that Priority Mail won't guarantee a delivery date (but we're real good at shipping on the right day), only USPS Express or UPS will. Please feel free to ask our shipping experts if you're in doubt!

Here’s the rundown of our 2016 sweets line up, handily organized by theme:

Stocking stuffer-type treats

  • BARS! Our bars are tiny little masterpieces, don’t you think? Is that pretentious to say? What’s the point of this newsletter, anyway??
  • Our Bar Collection saves ya a little cash and is super festive, too.

Small gifts to keep stashed around for host-type gifts and last minute presents:

  • BARKS! Slabs of chocolate elegantly marbled & otherwise manipulated, in manifold variety. Nutty, creamy or fruity—we’ve got a bark for that. Special Barks for the holidays include Peppermint Bark (white chocolate! dark chocolate! all the chocolate.), Holiday Bark (apt name, eh?), and we keep on making Autumnal Pagan Bark, because we like it, and because it’s technically still autumn, anyway.
  • MUGS!

Sugar to keep on hand for impromptu celebrations and festive home-times:

  • Hazelnut Spread, for decadent snacks and holiday drink-making.
  • Winter Wonderland Box, to put on holiday tables, to nibble on while wrapping presents and all that classic holiday-type stuff. Or, to nibble on while being scared about our president-elect. Stress-nibbling. The WWB is revamped for 2016 and is so gorgeous & bursting with local ingredients and I can barely stand it.

Holiday-themed stuff made of chocolate:

Presents for people you love, presents for people you like, presents for people you want to like/love you:

Fancy giant collections of everything good in the world, for proper holiday spoiling:

Everything else: a gift certificate to our website, naturally.

Did you know we partnered with Sweet Maresa's to open a store in New York City? Yup! It's called Confectionery! located at 440 East 9th Street and Ave A in the East Village and you can find our full line of chocolates at the shop including some items you can't find online. We're open every day from 12pm-9pm (except Sundays from 11am-8pm).

Pretty amazing. Just heat up a cup of almond or coconut or hemp or oat or other plant
milk of choice (we're partial to almond), pour it over the Magic Sphere,
whisk it a little, and you have fresh hot rich intense drinking chocolate,
complete with magically appearing mini marshmallows.

One sphere makes one decadent cuppa hot cocoa + "an experience."

Festively packaged with an adorable handwritten tag, suitable for gifting, #stockingstuffer, eh? This is the first time we're offering the sphere's individually for sale online!

We’re not much on molded chocolate figurines and things. Usually they’re hella tacky, you know? But there are a few gems out there. These 3-D trees are pretty great. Everyone loves making them because you make flat pieces for the branches and glue them together with chocolate and get to put each piece on just so, twisted or not, according to your own internal compass. Then we spray them with organic cocoa butter to make a flocked, snowy-wintery effect. These are solid chocolate, so they’ll last months and months at cool room temperature. These are really nice as a centerpiece on your holiday table or mantle, then you can eat them for dessert. Art that’s also an activity, and a treat. Nothing better.
