Holiday Art Sale This Saturday
November 30, 2016

Dear <<First Name>>,

Fill Your Holidays With Art!

Morro Bay will be "Holiday Arts and Crafts Central" this Saturday, December 3rd. The artists who are participating in the Surfboard Art Festival will be selling art in all formats (note cards, poster-sized prints, jewelry, apparel and much more) at the Inn at Morro Bay from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wander around the lobby of the magnificent Inn at Morro Bay and get in the holiday spirit, Central-Coast style!

The Holiday Arts and Crafts Sale is a fundraiser for Morro Bay in Bloom and Project Surf Camp. Morro Bay in Bloom depends entirely on your financial support for the $6,000 in annual expenses required to insure and equip our volunteers and to participate in national and international evaluations that are improving our city. Project Surf Camp relies on your financial support to insure and equip volunteers and campers.

Continue your shopping tour at the Morro Bay Art Center's Winter Arts and Crafts Sale, 835 Main Street.  Browse
a collection of exceptional paintings, photography and fine crafts, spanning a variety of artistic media from traditional to contemporary. Crafts include fiber art, wood, glass, jewelry and more. Whether you attend this extraordinary exhibit to observe or to find that perfect holiday gift, you are in for a delight. 12 noon-4 p.m.

But wait...there's more! A Noel Boutique featuring handmade gift items and homemade baked goods will be available for sale at St. Timothy's Church Hall, 972 Piney Way, on December 3rd and 4th from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

YOU'RE INVITED TO BEAUTIFY--DATES BELOW

Feeling the itch to plant something? Just show up! Everything you need to beautify will be provided! Rain cancels.

Saturday, December 10, 9-11 a.m. Meet at Centennial Parkway (large chessboard plaza on Embarcadero). If you would like succulent cuttings for your garden, there usually is a good selection for volunteers to take home!

Monday, December 12, 10-11 a.m. You are invited to meet with members of the Citizens' Beatification and Heritage Committee to prepare a list of unmet beautification and heritage-preservation needs at the Morro Bay Community Center. If you cannot attend, please submit your concerns and suggestions to morrobayinbloom@gmail.com.

Wednesday, December 14, 1-2 p.m. Meet at Morro Bay Library for a one-hour container planting and weeding session. The large container outside the northern entrance to the library building needs love and drainage material, planting mix and plants. Also, rain and weeds wait for nobody.

Saturday, December 17, 9-11 a.m. Meet at Harbor Walk Parking lot directly across the street from the vehicle entrance of the power plant.

Wednesday, December 21, 1-2 p.m.  Meet at the corner Beach and Embarcadero and experience the joy of holiday fertilization. Our brilliant African daisies need a little goose to perk them up in spring. No sprays or pellets will be used; just tiny spikes that can be pushed below the soil's surface with a thumb. There probably will be a few weeds to pull along the way as well.

Saturday, December 24. No session.

Saturday, December 31. No session.

PHOTOS!

The Morro Bay Bike Park was made more beautiful on Monday, November 28th thanks to members of the Central Coast Homeschooling Co-op. Here are some photos from that occasion.
