The 2016 MVAC Annual Awards were presented on November 17. The Archaeology Education Award went to Jack Larson, the Regional Archaeology Award went to Suzanne Harris, a Special Recognition Award went to McHugh Excavating and the James P. Gallagher Award in Archaeology Excellence went to Gundersen Health System.
Stories in the November 2016 issue include the 2016 Public Field School at Norskedalen's Heritage Site and Jim Theler honored at the Midwest Archaeologcal Conference.
