Millcraft Donates More than $94,000
to Midwest-based Non-Profits through Its “Buy & Give” Program

Cleveland, Ohio – November 30, 2016 - Millcraft is kicking off its 2016 holiday season by donating more than $94,000 to non-profit organizations through its buy & give copy paper purchasing program.

Millcraft’s “buy & give” initiative offers businesses the opportunity to support local charities through routine purchases of “buy & give” brand office paper. For every carton of paper purchased, Millcraft donates $1 to charity.   Millcraft partners with Domtar – the largest producer of uncoated papers in North America – to market “buy & give” multi-purpose paper throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan and New York.

Millcraft first introduced “buy & give” to the Northeast Ohio market in 2011.  In 2014 the program was expanded throughout the company’s five-state distribution area to support nine non-profit organizations hand-selected by each regional division.  These organizations include:  Blessings in a Back Pack (Louisville); Cincinnati Children’s Hospital; The Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital; C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital/University of Michigan Health System (Ann Arbor); Hospice of Dayton; Hospice of the Western Reserve (Cleveland); Make a Wish – Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana (Indianapolis); Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus); and Turnstone
(Fort Wayne).

In the two years since the program expansion, annual donations the company provides through the buy & give program have virtually tripled, from just under $32,000 in 2014 to over $94,000 in 2016.

“Our mission as a company is to embrace opportunities to make a meaningful impact on those we work with each and every day, and that includes the local communities that have supported us for nearly 100 years,” states Millcraft President Travis Mlakar. “As a fourth generation family-owned business, impact is not just measured financially.  Sometimes it is measured emotionally.  For our team to be able to give back to the charities that really mean something to us personally reminds us of the responsibility we have to one another and the communities we serve.”
