Our Community's Letter to WMATA about Proposed Service Cuts to White Flint Station
More than forty property owners, businesses, and civic and home owner associations signed our letter to WMATA. The letter said that decreasing service to the White Flint metro station, as proposed by WMATA, would be extremely detrimental to the Pike District. After all, it's tough to have transit-oriented developemnt without transit. You can read the letter here.
Board of Ed Votes for Capital Improvements in the WJ Cluster
The Montgomery County Board of Education approved capital improvement projects totaling $411.7 million that include expansions of Bethesda’s Ashburton Elementary School and North Bethesda Middle School. Read more here.
What You Need to Know about the Western Workaround and New Conference Center Garage Construction
They have begun working on the first of two phases of the White Flint West Workaround transportation project and the new conference center garage. The first phase of the road construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of calendar year 2017. Additionally, the existing surface parking lot at the conference center will be converted into a new 650-space, six-story parking garage. Read more here.
