It's Advent in the Christian tradition – my favorite time of year. In this season, amidst the carols and cocoa and cookies and Hallmark movies, we wait. Waiting is what Advent is all about. We wait and we watch. We wait and we hope. We wait. And we wait. And we wait.

Advent beckons us to take a breath. To take a break. To press pause. Because in the waiting, there's not much else to do.

Back in March, I sent the first Thursday Three to – fittingly – three people. Now, eight months later, I haven't missed a week. Okay, that's not entirely true. I missed one Thursday in May because I locked myself out of my house. It's fine.

I guess what I'm trying to say is... I'm taking a break for the next few weeks.
