Bright Lights 2016 ! The Libraries will be joining in the fun with a craft table in the entrance to the Town Office Building. Make an ornament to take home.

 at the Moosup Valley Grange

Make a Gingerbread House to take home!  Please bring one bag of candy.  All ages welcome.  Enjoy Christmas Carols and holiday refreshments.

The Cookbook Club Cookie Exchange
Thursday, December 8 at 6 pm
The group is holding a Cookie Exchange at Foster Public Library.  All are welcome to bring in a dozen cookies or more to share.  Decorative holiday plates provided or bring your own cookie tin to take home a dozen assorted cookies.  Please bring your recipe.  The library will make copies.
 
Book Club
Monday, December 12 at 6:15 pm at Tyler Free Library
This month's selection is The Christmas Train, by David Baldacci. New members are welcome.  Call either library to reserve a book.
 

Rhode Island History lecture & Discussion: How to talk about slavery in 2016
Saturday, December 10, 1:00 pm at Foster Public Library.
A talk by Ray Rickman, Executive Director of Stages of Freedom, Providence, RI. Mr. Rickman is an authority on African American history and culture in Rhode Island.  Mr. Rickman's presentation opens a door to a greater understanding of our State history.
Needle Felting
Wednesday, December 14, 6 pm, at Tyler Free Library
We will use natural, dyed wool to make a charming felted creation.  Karen Mueller shows us the technique. Supplies provided.  $10 materials fee waived when you bring a donation of nonperishable food for the Foster food pantry.

Storytime with Miss Lori
Wednesdays 10 a.m. at Tyler Free Library
Each Wednesday at we meet at the library at 10:00 am to read stories, sing songs, play and make a simple craft project.  Snacks provided. For ages 0 - 5

Watch a great movie with your friends, or hang out in the new lounge area with comfy seating, explore new technology and use the free WiFi !  Tap into your creative side and see what you can invent with the MakeyMakey or Snap Circuits kits. Pizza and light refreshments.
