Raspberry Shake – Communication Update
Dear Raspberry Shake friends,

First of all, we would like to thank all again for your support. We learned a lot throughout this process and we are working every day to make Raspberry Shake an ever better personal seismograph!

Previously, all Raspberry Shake updates were issued through the Kickstarter platform (see previous updates here). Since then, hundreds of additional citizen scientists have purchased their own Raspberry Shake through our shop. So today we are moving the updates to this MailChimp newsletter service. Feel to to unsubscribe at any time (see link at end of email).
Raspberry Shake – Shipping Update
All units are out the door and should be shipped by the end of next week. We are off to Panama City tonight with the last 300 or so units. This means that, for most of you, Raspberry Shake will arrive in time for Christmas.

We have been shipping in waves, starting with Magnitude 5, 6.5 and 8 clients in the USA and Canada so some users have already starting receiving their Raspberry Shakes! (and much to our surprise- the USPS is super efficient!!!)
Raspberry Shake – Do It Yourself Update
For Magnitude 5, 6.5 and 8 backers, we have created a Do It Yourself section on our website

There you can download the SD card image, enclosure laser cutter files, geophone specifications and pinout diagram.

Raspberry Shake – Server-side Web Applications Update
We have begun to roll out a number of server-side web applications including some really fantastic web apps developed by our colleagues at gempa GmbH such as Station View & Earthquake View.

This is JUST THE BEGINNING. As more and more users come online, we will invest more and more into created a content-rich web environment for all of our backers.

We ask for your patience as we debug these platforms. We are going global fast and are bound to hit snags along the way :)

Raspberry Shake – Software Issues Update
Click here for a list of all known software issues. Please send bug reports to the Technical Support Google Group with the subject "Bug Report: <some summary message here>"

We will send out a Newsletter after each update is available. But don't worry, your Raspberry Shakes will update automatically and seamlessly in the background so long as they have an Internet connection.
Raspberry Shake – Even More News
Kiara Navarro who was an instrumental and fantasticccc member of our team (organizing the Kickstarter campaign, issuing updates, programming, testing hardware and working tirelessly on making Raspberry Shake a reality) grabbed her backpack and struct out yesterday to travel the world. We thank her with all of our hearts for sharing her talents with the group and we wish her the best in her travels. Un abrazo Kiara!

AGU: We will be attending the American Geophysical Union Conference in San Francisco, California, Dec. 12-16. Visit us at booth 1323.

Thanks for your support, we really appreciate it!
