Less than three weeks left...but these are arguably the most important weeks of the semester - finish strong!

See you at these HSB events:

Budgeting: TONIGHT, December 1; 7:00pm.
Gingerbread House Decorating: TOMORROW, December 2; 7:00pm. Stop in between Winterfest activities to spend some time with your friends in Honors

The final Honors Salon of the semester: December 2 featuring Dr. Eulanda Sanders

December 2, 3:10pm: we are excited to welcome Dr. Eulanda Sanders, Professor and Donna R. Danielson Professor in Textiles and Clothing in the Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management as our last Honors Salon speaker of the semester. Dr. Sanders will be speaking on "Design Thinking Across the Disciplines," which is especially appropriate considering the last two students she mentored via the First-Year Honors Mentor Program were mechanical engineering students studying wearable technology.
We look forward to seeing you and welcoming Dr. Sanders TOMORROW!

Apply to be an FHP Leader in 2017!

The First Year Honors Program leader position is truly a unique opportunity – not many sophomore-level students have the chance to lead and facilitate a class. Leaders take an active role in helping students adjust to life at Iowa State, and an experience like this can really round out all the technical experience on your resume. FHP leaders also help plan and run the FHP retreat in the fall, which is a ridiculous amount of fun. In addition, being an FHP leader is a great way of staying connected to Honors and making even more connections with the Honors community – you’ll get to know 70+ more students who’ll also be leaders with you. The application is due at 4:00pm on Friday, December 16. Interviews will be held the end of January/first part of February.

For more information and an application see the Honors website here: https://www.honors.iastate.edu/uhp/leaders.php
