After a 3Zero month full of meetings and learnings, the year is still not over for Convergences! Open data, gender equality, youth entrepreneurship: December will be a month of involvement and commitment.

COP 22, INTERNATIONAL NEWS, 100 3ZERO SOLUTIONS:
CAROLINA HERRERA'S CONTRIBUTION ON RFI

At the end of COP 22, Carolina Herrera, Deputy Director of Convergences in charge of content, intervened in the "Paris America" programme on RFI. American elections, COP 22: key topics on which she highlighted the 3Zero vision of Convergences.

Together with Manuel Pulgar Vidal, Technical Director of WWF and former Minister of the Environment of Peru, Oscar Rivas, Climate Change Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean for the NGO Friends of the Earth and former Minister of the Environment of Paraguay and Silvia Celi, special envoy to Marrakech, Carolina had the opportunity to introduce the 100 solutions for a 3Zero world that Convergences presented at COP22.

16 ACTION DAYS TO END VIOLENCE
AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS

Convergences joined the Orange Day campaign, launched on Friday 25th of November by the UN Women to fight violence against women and girls. From the 25th of November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Girls and Women) to the 10th of December (Human Rights Day), civil society is invited to mobilise itself in order to achieve the SDG5: join these 16 action days!

On this occasion, Émilie Poisson, Executive Director of Convergences, intervened during a podcast co-organised by Convergences and the UN Women's Committee for France with the support of Fréquence Orange to raise awareness on the issue of violence against women and girls and present potential solutions to fight such violence.

Upcoming Events

Open Government Partnership Summit
7th to 9th of December - Paris
As co-chair of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), France will host its fourth OGP Global Summit 2016 in Paris from December 7 to December 9. The Partnership gathers today 70 member countries and hundreds of civil society organizations that promote transparency, citizen participation and democratic innovation. The OGP summit will involve 3000 representatives from 70 countries.

Conference on Open data
8th of December - Bondy
The Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD) organises a conference on open data for development, with the support of Convergences' Lab Laboo Cafés. The conference aims to show how big data can be used to achieve the 3Zero goal - Zero Exclusion, Zero carbon, Zero Poverty.

Stand4Rights
10th of December - Paris
The event Stan4Rights aims to bring inspiration to the youth winners of the IMPOWER project organised by the YES Akademia (YAKA) NGO. They will present their projects to Youth We Can and Make Sense entrepreneurs on Human Rights Day.

Apéro Youth We Can! on "Entrepreneurship with a social impact when you are a student"

Youth We Can! is pleased to invite you to his monthly Apéro on the theme of "Entrepreneurship with a social impact when you are a student" at MayFair. This event, co-organised with Enactus France, is the perfect opportunity to exchange, inspire and find support among other young people and students who are also social entrepreneurs, and among investors and professionals.

The Future Of Water - The quality of water resources, measures and treatments

On December 13, the Campus de l'innovation pour la planète hosts The Future Of Water, the second edition of "The Future Of__". "The Future Of_" is a series of events exploring global societal challenges, a platform for discussion to innovate differently. The Future Of Water will address the theme: "Quality of water resources, measures and treatments" and in particular the issues of drinking water access and treatment solutions.
