A warm welcome to our Winter 2016 newsletter
As the year draws to an end, looking back over the last 12 months provides an opportunity to appreciate our successes and plan ahead to continue our efforts to raise awareness and improve care for anyone affected by ectopic pregnancy. While ectopic pregnancy cannot sadly be prevented, we believe that any woman who goes through it should get the levels of care, information and support they need. We thank you all our supporters for helping us work towards this aim.

Support The EPT with your Christmas jumper
TV Personality and EPT Patron Charlotte Crosby has designed a range of Christmas jumpers with £1 donated to The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust for each one sold.
Charlotte said: “I’ve had so much fun designing my Christmas jumpers for In The Style and I’m so happy that I can help The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust with sales from the jumpers. Their work raising awareness of the symptoms and supporting women who have suffered an ectopic is massively important and something close to my heart".

We sent support leaflets to 145 hospitals around the UK for them to distribute to patients who need support and information about ectopic pregnancy.
We responded to thousands of requests for support via phone and email.
Our patrons helped to increase awareness by talking, tweeting, and Snap-chatting about ectopic pregnancy to millions of followers.
The EPT website had over three-quarters of a million visitors in the last year.

We collaborated with a number of charities for Baby Loss Awareness Week in October. The week is for bereaved families to remember and commemorate their losses and culminates in the international Wave of Light on 15 October.
Our Wave of Light Facebook post reached over 90,000 people.

Inspired by the women we speak to who recount how a chat over a cup of tea provides much-needed comfort during recovery, we launched our very own EPTea Party fundraising pack.

Thanks to our fundraisers
Thanks to everyone who used EasyFundraising and nominated The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust as their charity to help us raise over £700. By shopping online as you would normally, the charity receives free money!

We supported fundraisers who participated in walking (including tackling the "Big One" roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure beach!), running, sky-diving, cycling, Zumba and spin challenges, organising charity nights and many more events and activities.

We spoke at a number of national conferences
Including The Association of Early Pregnancy Units and Scottish Early Pregnancy Network events, reaching over 300 healthcare professionals. This training will help improve the quality of care for women undergoing diagnosis and treatment for ectopic pregnancy and early pregnancy complications.

We have over 10,000 registered members on our website's online forums
There are over 4,000 topics and 28,000 posts. Many people prefer to read rather than post, taking comfort from the words of others. However you use our forums, you are most welcome. Visit the EPT forums

For the first time ever, a Baby Loss debate was held in Parliament
This was a landmark moment in putting pregnancy complications and baby loss on the political agenda and bringing the issue wider recognition.
