VicHealth Indicators Survey 2015 - Explore your data platform
This exciting web-based software quickly presents data from across the different indicators. While the current sample sizes at the LGA level are small for some responses, it is a great program to have a play with and lots of fun!

This report describes the prevalence of food insecurity in Australia and the adverse implications for the health and productivity of individuals and communities.

Australia's social pulse - Centre for Social Impact 
Building on existing Australian social statistics, Australia’s Social Pulse measures changes over time in key social indicators across a range of domains. 

AusPlay: participation data for the sport sector - Australian Sports Commission
The report provides the sport sector with vital insights into participation for adults and children, the barriers to physical activity and inform strategy.

Responses to, and lessons learnt from the 2016 bushfires in remote Tasmania
This report examines the response to, and lessons learnt from, recent fires in remote Tasmania. Chapter content includes the impact of climate change on fire frequency and magnitude, response and resources. 

Elder abuse: discussion paper - Australian Law Reform Commission
This Discussion Paper includes includes 43 proposals for law reform. The ALRC invites submissions in response to the proposals, or to any of the material in the Discussion Paper.

New opportunities


Safe and Strong: A Victorian Gender Equality Strategy
The Victorian Government has announced a series of landmark reforms to support women and girls to be safer and stronger by addressing inequality, sexism and violence against women.

Try, test and learn fund grants
Aust. Gov. funding to support innovative programs that direct disadvantaged people into education and employment. Applications close 24 February.

Victorian Cancer Survivorship Program grants
Grants of up to $100,000 for services to leverage existing funding or initiatives, adopt an existing model or address a specific survivorship matter or resource need.

Men's Shed grants
Grants available to support health improvements of members through a focus on the social determinants of health. Applications close 13 January. 

Gippsland Health Summit
24-25 March | Sale
Organisers of the Gippsland Health Summit are interested in hearing from local organisations who wish to support the Summit and also the Out of the Blue play about suicide. Contact Sharee Johnson, SKJ Consulting for partnership opportunities. 

The Aspiration Initiative Indigenous Scholarships Portal
Aboriginal students can use the portal to find relevant scholarships.
