Get Ready for a Hanukkah Party at Temple Israel!

Meitin Alliance for Growth And Learning’s (MAGAL) “me and my grown-up” program, meets on the second Sunday of every month. The next meetup is Sunday, December 11 at 9:30 am.

Featuring songs and stories, activities, snacks (of course!) and a chance for parents to get to know each other. For more information visit www.tiflorida.org.

Sunday December 11 at 10:00 am in the Roth Social Hall, we will be holding our Annual Congregational Meeting. This meeting has important agenda items needing your vote: 2017 Budget and the Slate of Officers and Trustees.

Remember, each primary member of your household has a vote!

Please make every effort to attend. Help make a Minyan in the Savage Family Chapel at 9:00 am. Bagels and coffee will be available at 9:30 am in the Roth Social Hall. We look forward to seeing you there.

Hanukkah Shopping at our Judaica Shop!

Whatever you need, Hanukkah gifts and gifts for all occasions, all from the Sisterhood Judaica Shop, will be on display at the Town Hall Meeting on Sunday, December 11 in the Roth Social Hall. Bring your shopping lists and Support Temple Israel Sisterhood.

Mitzvah Day is Sunday, December 25, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. We'll be meeting in Roth Social Hall.

Please help your Ma’asim Tovim Committee/Sisterhood complete a few very important projects at this annual event to help our synagogue as well as our Central Florida community.
  • For our younger groups, we will be baking cookies in the Temple Israel kitchen for distribution to our first responders (police, firefighters). The cookie distribution will be made personally by the children.

  • We will begin refurbishing the art studio (old library) provided we get enough volunteers to help.  If you are interested in wall prep and painting, please contact Arlene van de Rijn at asvdr1026@aol.com or call 407.761.1243.

  • We are collecting the following for Bags of Hope Central Florida, a nonprofit dedicated to helping local homeless children:  a washcloth rolled up, liquid body wash (full size), shampoo/conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, gallon-sized zipper bags. Please look for more information and drop-off sites in the lobby and social hall.  We will assemble everything in zipper bags on Mitzvah Day.
