To Shelter the HomelessAll Week, Social Hall
Would you like to make a tangible difference in the lives of the homeless population in our town? Would you like to teach your children about tikkun olam and tzedakah in a very real and enjoyable way?
You can help by driving, cooking and/or serving food for the guests of the Interfaith Rotating Winter Shelter at CBH. This mitzvah opportunity is appropriate for children 9 years or older with adult supervision. This is a great group or family activity. It's easy to sign up, just click on this link.

Items for the Weekly e-tone must be submitted by the Monday prior to publication to: http://www.bethaverim.org/new/weekly-newsletter/event-submission
or communications@bethaverim.org.
The e-tone usually is published on Thursdays. Submissions meeting the following criteria will be considered for publication:
- Reminders about approved CBH programs and events
- Meeting notices for CBH groups and committees
- Religious school and/or CBH youth groups notices
- Ritual information (i.e., holiday and Shabbat schedules and details)
- Updates from CBH clergy
- News about partners' lifecycle events (b’nai mitzvahs, births, marriages, deaths)
- Items from Hillel, the Sacramento Jewish Federation and the URJ may also be included.
All submissions must include contact information, and may be edited for length, clarity, readability and compliance with CBH editorial style. The placement and frequency of submissions within the e-tone will be at the discretion of the Communications Specialist and/or the Executive Director. No item will be included more than four weeks prior to an event/meeting date, although exceptions may be made for CBH fundraisers.

Each night at 6:00 p.m. during Hanukkah, CBH committees, groups, havurot and families are invited to each take a turn ensuring that our large-scale, handcrafted, forged metal hanukkiah is illuminated in the Redwood Grove. The commitment is 30 minutes or less, and you're encouraged to invite as many friends and family members as you wish to take part. Large diameter candles will be provided, as well as a copy of the blessings. 
5:30 p.m. in the Social Hall, featuring special guest musician Marshall Voit, guitarist and vocalist.
hanukkiah at 5:45 p.m. to the Social Hall and illuminate it along side your community.
