The Saga of Sage Hill Continues!

2016 comes to a close, winter deepens and, while all may seem quiet at Sage Hill, an exciting round of Spring and Summer programs are in the works.

Will you help make it happen? Your donation supports writers who depend on low-cost instruction from some of Canada's finest authors, and ensures that Sage Hill has the means to continue offering its full slate of courses, despite significant increases in facility costs.

St. Michael's Retreat Centre, the 20-year home of Sage Hill's retreats, changed hands in 2015, ending the generous facility discount that the St. Michael's friars had offered to Sage Hill. We've shopped around and, while St. Michael's (now Living Skies Retreat Centre) is helpful and still offers competitive pricing, realistic cost increases make Sage Hill's facility expenses $20,000 higher than when the friars were around.

Sage Hill depends on donations to continue offering exceptional programming at affordable rates.

The Saga of Sage Hill continues!  Will you write the next chapter with us?

Tax receipts are available to all donors.

Spring Poetry Colloquium

May 15 – 28, 2017

The Spring Poetry Colloquium, an intensive, two-week workshop, will be led by Governor General's
Award-winning Canadian poet and essayist, Tim Lilburn.

Amid stunning vistas of the Qu'Appelle Valley, writers will benefit from individual manuscript consultations, as well as seminar discussions investigating technical, philosophical, or conceptual issues in contemporary poetry.

Scholarships and bursaries are available to applicants.

Spring may seem less distant while you polish your application to join us at the sunny Living Skies Retreat Centre (formerly St. Michael's Retreat) in Lumsden, SK.

After all, time flies when application deadlines loom!

Apply by March 7th.

Welcome to our New Program Manager

We welcome Caitilin Terfloth into the role of Program Manager.

Caitilin is a professional administrator and former Editor-in-Chief of the Undergraduate Research Journal at the University of Saskatchewan. The completion of her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in English Literature culminated in an internship placement at Sage Hill.

In May, we bid a fond farewell to Program Manager James Pepler. Caitilin jumped into the role of Interim Program Manager and, after a successful summer program, was thrilled to be hired on permanently as our Program Manager. She brings many years of accounting and administrative experience to Sage Hill, as well as deep-seated dedication to arts, culture, & education. She can't imagine life without books,
and asks (respectfully) that you keep them coming!

Caitilin now runs Sage Hill Writing's satellite office out of Saskatoon, SK.
