I love knowing the official Pantone colors each year! Maybe it's time to change up to a using a new color palet whether in paper crafting, watercolor or your wardrobe.
WEDNESDAY CAS CLUB WITH SHERRY
I love Sherry's CAS club held at the Bridgeport Library at 3:30 every Wednesday. Her cards are classic Sherry style and always a fun group. Here's what we made:
Two of the cards featured an embossed folder background.
This bokah technique was my favorite. So retro!
CAMDEN CLUB HOLIDAY MEETING
I was double clubbing last Wednesday. It's fun knowing what other clubs are doing for their holiday meeting. We swapped 25 tags and here's a picture of everyone's creations! Great job everyone!
My dog ate one of the tags if you don't see it!!! True story!!!
JANE'S CHRISTMAS WREATHE Jane made me a wreathe for my outer side door and I love it so much I wanted to share a photo!!! The bells were off of a bell garland I gave Jane many years ago from Zerillo's!
WATERCOLOR IN THE WORKS Jeff and I had a brilliant idea to create a painting that included our '67 Corvette that Jeff is turning into a resto rod in front of a barn in winter. We were going to use this as our Christmas card...!!! As the clock was ticking and I wasn't making enough progress, we went to Plan B. The pressure of finishing the painting is off me for the moment.
I thought you'd enjoy seeing where I am with it at this stage. I really can see it finished, but I just can't bang it out and love the idea of what we're trying to do with it. Jeff calls it his painting and that makes me feel pretty darn good.
Watercolor is all about layers and having the patience to wait for one layer to dry before moving on. Snow is an interesting challenge and not to mention the darn car! The birch tree is masked along with the open barn doors. Wish me luck!!!
ONE MORE THING... It is 5 pm Saturday, which is really late for me to be finishing up the e-news! I completed a painting this past week. In fact all I did on Friday was paint two different pieces, but I managed to do a load of laundry! At one point, I was so involved, I didn't even know it was snowing like crazy around 5 pm! Woops! This is my last Christmas gift and a feeling of relief is coming over me. Off to Hobby Lobby!!!!
