THIS POWDER ALERT IS FOR BOTH SATURDAY & SUNDAY Dec 10/11th It Keeps Getting Better! Do you keep waking up thinking this winter so far must be some sort of dream? Fully expecting to hear about "mixed rain/snow in the Cascades this weekend"??? Don't worry, it's real. About 3 feet of snow is settled at the base area of Skibowl right now, with a good 10" fresh waiting for you on Saturday morning. A cold front passed through during the night, dropping the snow level down around 3,000' too. Expect snow showers to continue all day. A 2nd system moves through the Cascades Sunday, slightly colder air and more moisture mean a huge dumping again. STORM TOTAL SNOW SATURDAY A.M. THROUGH SUNDAY P.M. Lower Bowl (Base Area): 15-20" Upper Bowl: 22-28" Long Range: Snow showers back off a bit on Monday and temperatures stay cool. Snow level stays low too. That means great conditions continue. Cold and clear weather arrives on Tuesday and at least the cold part continues the entire rest of next week. Some models are showing moisture (in the form of snow of course) returning the 2nd half of the week. We'll see about that. Others are dry. Most important: THERE IS NO INDICATION WE HAVE ANY SORT OF WARM SYSTEM ON THE WAY FOR THE NEXT 7-10 DAYS. Most likely Christmas Vacation is going to start cold at the end of next week Follow the latest on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/skibowl and Twitter here: https://twitter.com/skibowl Chief Meteorologist Mark Nelsen - FOX12 Weather
