Winter is here: as I write, the first flakes of snow are blowing through the air over green lawns - a rare treat in Oregon!
Winter used to be the season I dreaded: my beloved sun seems far away, and my productive hours are forcibly whittled down. This year I am more aware of what the animals are doing, and I'm allowing myself to give in a little bit to the pull towards hibernation/slowing down. What would happen if we could all allow ourselves more time to recoup in the winter months? I myself could use a bit of distance to let things sink in. I'll let you know how it goes!
