#KINDNESS MATTERS
As you drive and walk to school, have you noticed the sign on the school fence that says #KindnessMatters? It took 20 students from Mrs. Shari Capriola's Third Grade Class and 200 red solo cups to spread the word. Take a look at Mrs. Cap who is featured in Scholastic Book's Blog talking about how she uses How Full Is Your Bucket? For Kids by Tom Rath and Maurie J. Manning, to promote "bucket filling" and kindness in her classroom. Put a little love in your heart this holiday season and EVERY DAY!

ROYER-GREAVES SCHOOL HOLIDAY GIFT COLLECTION - EXTENDED TO TOMORROW MORNING
The deadline to donate a gift card has been extended to tomorrow, Monday, December 12 at 9am.  Please bring any gift card donations to the office by 9 am tomorrow for the students at the Royer Greaves School for the Blind. T&E CARE'S FOOD HOLIDAY DRIVE AND LOCAL NEEDS
T&E Care supports over 125 local families (including Beaumont families) in need, with the help of BES and other T/E schools. Thank you to Beaumont families who contributed kitchen utensils, baking tools and storage containers in November. T&E Care is also collecting food to provide holiday meals to families on Tuesday, December 20, from 8:30am - 7:00pm, at the home of a T&E Care Volunteer (TBC). If you are interested in donating, please visit the requested food list on SignUpGenius. Local families are also in need of used personal computers and laptops (not Macs), tall dressers and one daybed. If you have any of these items that you no longer need and wish to donate, please contact stuff@tecare.org. Thank you for your help. To learn more about how T&E Care helps the community, visit their website. For questions, contact Claudette McCarron, BES T&E Care Representative.

WINTER WEATHER IS COMING! SIGN UP TO RECEIVE EMERGENCY TEXT ALERTS TODAY
The T/E School District now offers the option for parents to receive a text message alert when there is an emergency announcement from TE All-Call, the District's mass communication system. All parent/guardian mobile numbers in the TE All-Call system received a text invitation on November 17, 2016 with instructions on how to opt-in to receive text messages. If you missed the text invitation, or have added a new mobile number or changed an existing mobile number, you can still sign up to receive emergency text alerts by texting Y to 67587. Please note that your mobile number must already be on file in the TE All-Call system in order for you to begin receiving emergency text alerts. To add a new mobile number or change an existing number, please contact your child’s school. For more information, including frequently asked questions, visit www.tesd.net/teallcall.

BEAUMONT AND THE HSA NEED HELP!

Please contact Courtney O'Brien with any questions about the openings below.

1. Book Fair - We need two additional book fair chairs for the 2017-2018 school year. Please consider joining this fun group to lead the two 📚 book fairs sponsored by the HSA. Both Mary Hashemi and Renee DelViscio will be leaving Beaumont at the end of the school year and will help with the transition.

2. Cultural Arts - For the 2017-2018 school year, we need two volunteers to work together to plan all school assemblies. These people will coordinate schedules, contracts and assembly day details with lead teachers and staff at Beaumont as well as with the assembly providers. Chairs will also attend periodic Delta meetings at Easttown Library. This is a fun and rewarding job that gives chairs an opportunity to bring assemblies into our school and see firsthand the children's enthusiasm and excitement about being exposed to different cultural and art related experiences. Current chairs Alicia Asselta and Lindsey Weber.
