Spies Like Us: an After-Hours Mystery Event
Calling all super sleuths! On Friday, January 6 at 6:30 p.m. come out of the cold and into the library for an after-hours event filled with mystery. You are invited to an evening of intrigue and puzzles. At this event, you will be able to try your hand at cracking secret codes and outwitting double-crossing spies. Put on your thinking caps, polish up your magnifying glasses and join us for a fun-filled evening.

How to Avoid Financial Scams
It seems every day on the news there is a report of another financial scam. You don’t have to be a victim. Join us as we welcome Rick Bloom for an insightful and informative seminar on Thursday, January 12 at 7 p.m. as he presents “How to Avoid Financial Scams.” Rick will discuss the variety of scams to be aware of and how you can protect yourself from becoming a victim.

Bookbinding
If you are looking for a fun and interesting morning out, look no further than the library! On Saturday, January 21 at 11 a.m. Laura Beyer will be returning to present another great program on Bookbinding. Laura currently teaches several Book Art classes at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center in Birmingham and will be here to share her expertise and ideas on how you can start bookbinding yourself.

Home Dreams
Have you ever looked around at the place you call home and thought this could be a great place if I could just (fill-in the blank)? Most of us have no idea where to start the conversation. On Thursday, January 19 at 7 p.m. the Bloomfield Township Public Library welcomes architect Robert Clarke. With over 30 years of experience in the field, Mr. Clarke will provide you with some basic benchmarks to consider when evaluating the feasibility of your dream home. He will also show you some wonderful examples of other dreamer’s completed projects and their unique and sometimes funny stories of how they got started down the home renovation path.
