SystemX as Part of a Paris Region Business Tour

On November 15, SystemX welcomed a delegation from the Paris Region economic development agency. Visitors had the opportunity to find out more about the institute's research efforts in the fields of cybersecurity & safety and on the use of augmented reality in autonomous vehicles.

DCIDE and VITAL Platforms Team took the Floor

On November 25, Systematic and SystemX welcomed 40 students from Sorbonne University and ENSTA ParisTech. During their visit, students had the opportunity to discover two SystemX technological platforms: DCIDE (computational platform for decision making) and VITAL (intelligence for automated processing of languages).

On December 8, members of the Business Club gathered in OpenDataSoft premises to share about the data topic.
SystemX Business Club aims to provide some unique momentum to foster synergies between industrial partners, and in particular to make SMEs more visible within large groups and accelerate business interactions.

SystemX Adresses Trust Issues for the Smart Cities
The DigiWorld Summit took place from 15 to 17 November and had "The Digital Trust Economy" as its central theme. This event is the opportunity to engage in a meaningful international debate over digital trust issues. François Stephan (Deputy CEO - International & Development) spoke in a panel session about "How to build trust in the smart city?".

On November 23, PwC France organized, with GEOS and ADIT, a conference on the subject of global security. François Stephan (Deputy CEO - International & Development) participated in a panel session on cybersecurity. International Conference on Computational Science (ICCS 2016)
Université Paris-Saclay and CentraleSupélec hosted the ICCS 2016 in Paris from November 28 to December 2. The purpose of this event was to bring together mathematicians and computational scientists to exchange on new approaches, methods and algorithms in the areas of advanced computing for complex problems. Frédéric Magoulès (CentraleSupélec/APA project) was pleased to welcome this conference in SystemX premises on December 2.

Microsoft rewards ITS Security (ISE) Project with access to its “Azure” Cloud platform
On November 17, the Microsoft Azure international research competition awarded a 20,000 $ prize to Pierpaolo Cincilla (research engineer, ISE project). This prize will help to finance the project’s research into security of ITS cooperative systems.
As a result, the team will carry out dynamic sizing tests on ITS cooperative systems, using Microsoft’s Cloud platform, Azure.

ISE Project deployed its PKI at the ITS Cooperative Mobility Services event
From 9 to 18 November, the ISE project attended the ITS Cooperative Mobility Services event, which gathered members from the ETSI, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute. The ISE project took the opportunity of this event to deploy its reliable and secure PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) developed to respond to the issue of large-scale design in order to be able to distribute billions of digital identities to the ITS embedded stations.

Internet of Trust

Telecommunications and Cloud Services (STC) project launch
SystemX launches STC project which is based on convergence between Software Defined Networking proposed in the form of virtualized functions deployed in a Cloud Computing environment. Its main goal is to set up algorithms to orchestrate and manage the Cloud-RAN functions which will also be deployed on a dedicated platform.
