Made in DC Pop-Up | Saturday - Sunday, December 10 - 11
Van Ness Main Street will host its first MADE IN DC pop up holiday market. This festive indoor marketplace will feature a rotating list of over 20 local makers featuring art, jewelry and accessories, fiber, home decor items, and packaged foods. Saturday’s special event offers a fun opportunity with your pet. Stop in with your dog or cat between noon and 3pm to have a pet photo taken with Santa. All proceeds will benefit City Dogs Rescue + City Kittens. On Sunday at 2pm, there will be a holiday sing along and visit with Santa. Enjoy the joyous sounds of the Singing Capital Chorus, and bring a new unwrapped toy for donation to DC Toys for Tots. More information.
Bid on Hamilton Package to Support Moveable Feast | Deadline Saturday, December 10
Chef John Shields and John Gilligan of Gertrude's in Baltimore are auctioning off a Broadway package including tickets to two of the hottest shows on Broadway to support Moveable Feast. The highest bidder will win a center orchestra seat to Hamilton on Tuesday, January 10, 2017; dinner with the Johns at one of their favorite Italian restaurants in NYC; and a matinee performance of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 the next day. All the proceeds will be donated to Moveable Feast. Winner is responsible for own transportation to/from NYC, and hotel room while there. Winner may bring along a guest to dinner.
