HELP US NOURISH OUR FOOD FUTURE

Thank you to those who have already generously supported our year-end campaign. In just one week we raised $12,000! We still need your help to reach our goal of $30,000 by the end of the year.

Please make a tax deductible donation to support our diverse and growing community of 140 local farmers and producers, 3,000 DC public elementary school students and their families, and over 400,000 shoppers, all of whom rely on our markets and programs to thrive.

When you give to FRESHFARM this holiday season, you help us build a sustainable mid-Atlantic foodshed and a more just and equitable food system.

Our Farmers Markets are spaces where all are welcome. Our Food Access work invites everyone to the table. Our Education programming is building a new generation of healthy eaters and environmental advocates. Our Farmer Support initiatives invest in farmers and small agricultural businesses.

Please help us work toward the vision of a foodshed that is inclusive, environmentally responsible, and accountable to every member of the community. We cannot do it without you!

Thank you for considering FRESHFARM in your generous year-end charitable giving.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK

Coleslaw with Lime & Cilantro

If you think coleslaw is a summer food, think again! Cold weather means carrots and cabbage are abundant at markets right now, making slaw a perfect winter salad. Try pairing a bright crunchy slaw with a slow-cooked stew, spicy chili, or as a condiment on taco night. Get the recipe, and don't forget to tag your creations with #freshfarmcooks!

INSTAGRAM OF THE WEEK

Can anyone resist a veggie that looks like a dinosaur? Romanesco has got to be one of the funnest, coolest veggies out there, and we're glad that @thereginafong loves it just as much as we do! Don't forget to tag us in your market pics at @freshfarmmarkets for a chance to be Instagram of the Week.
