DVD copies of Dr. Ruth Potee's Physiology of Addiction are now available!
Dr. Potee's educational video on brain science and addiction has been used at community forums, in classrooms and for staff trainings.
The film is also still available online through YouTube.

The National Alliance on Mental Health ( NAMI) offers resources and support groups for families or individuals who have been affected by mental illness and substance use.
NAMI resources include:
- Family support groups
- Peer to peer programs
- NAMI Connection recovery support group
- Information about substance use and treatment

Workshop description:
- Preventionists and others will receive an introduction to substance use problems, including identifying the biological basis of impairment, and the resulting behavioral, emotional and cognitive implications. This training will also address in experiential and skill building exercises, methods of engaging youth and/or parents when making a referral, especially when the problems could be reversed through education.
