Thought Leadership in Marrakech: TCR at COP22

In partnership with the Climate Action Reserve, TCR sponsored a vibrant delegation of state officials and business leaders from North America. We hosted a welcome reception, two side events and a press conference highlighting sub-national leadership on climate change.

"Much of the action in the U.S. is happening at the state level, and we are not slowing down: 36 of our states have climate action plans. There has already been an economic transformation in the states; that will not change.”
-Deb Markowitz, Secretary of Natural Resources, Vermont

TCR's Ivy League Members - Leading the Way

In 2008, Harvard set a short-term goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 30% by 2016, from a 2006 baseline, inclusive of campus growth. They have now met that goal. You can read the full report on their website.
Yale is on track to achieve its goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 43 percent below 2005 levels by 2020, despite a 14 percent increase in campus size. Read the report here.

Our Work on the Water-Energy Nexus

This video was premiered at the 2016 Cool Planet Award Ceremony on Tuesday, October 25th. Understanding the Water-Energy Nexus examines the intricate interconnection of water and energy. Having completed the first-ever Water Energy GHG Guidance last year, TCR is now piloting it in Southern California in partnership with Southern California Edison, and looking towards expanding it into a national protocol.
