Holiday in the Park is this Thursday!
Come join the fun on Thursday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 PM when Volunteer Park will be turned into a magical parade of lights with over 600 luminarias lining the pathways. This FREE event will feature free cookies courtesy of Whole Foods and free cocoa donated by Tully’s Coffee and the live choral performances at our main stage in front of the Seattle Asian Art Museum:
- 6:00pm The Columbia City Community and Family Chorus
- 6:30pm The Total Experience Gospel Choir
- 7:00pm Sing Noel
- 7:30pm The Beaconettes

Note that the Volunteer Park main concourse will be CLOSED to cars from the Water Tower to the Conservatory. You may drop off passengers at both park entrances:
- 15th Ave East & East Galer
- East Prospect St. & 12th Ave E (see map below).
Parking will be available on the road that runs through the west side of the park and on surrounding streets, but please know that parking will be in high demand and possibly hard to find. The 10 and 49 buses are great alternatives for getting to the park. Dress warmly. We’ll see you there!

 A Season for Giving

 Amphitheater Project Begins Schematic Design
Volunteer Park Trust's work to create a new, modern Amphitheater for Volunteer Park continues with our entry into the next phase of schematic design! Project consultants ORA Architects will host a booth at Holiday in the Park to get your feedback as the new Amphitheater takes its final shape.

 Volunteers Needed for Holiday in the Park
Do you have Thursday afternoon free? Come help set up Holiday in the Park! We will be assembling the 600 luminarias that will transform the evening park into a magical wonderland. We’ll also be setting up canopies and hanging decorations. You can sign up using Google Forms here: bit.ly/HolidayGoogleVol
We will meet at the Black Sun sculpture in Volunteer Park at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 8th and will work until the event starts at 6:00 PM but even if you can only help out an hour or two every hand is needed. Please bring your friends and dress for the chilly weather.

 Visit the Conservatory for FREE at its Holiday Best
The Polar Express Train is up and running with the amazing Poinsettia display as a backdrop in the Volunteer Park Conservatory. You are invited to a free Holiday Open House with cookies and cocoa on Thursday, December 15th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Don’t miss this delightful opportunity to visit.
