A book in two parts, it is the result of many years of research into the early history of Rawdon Township where all my ancestors settled between 1824 and 1832.
Up To Rawdon

Greeting Friends of Up To Rawdon:

Charities love to call supporters "friends of" but I am not a charity. However, I think of the people on my mailing list as friends because you have supported and continue to stand behind my books and website. This brings me much pleasure. I am writing shortly after an update of the website – the eighth this year. They have happened because friends generously share photographs and text material with Up To Rawdon. In October, I added an illustrated essay Drop me a Card about postcards and in December, the story of a once renowned athlete Samuel O’Rourke - A Boxing Champion. In 2017, I hope to publish additional research on the first two Protestant church congregations at Rawdon.

The format of the website is the work of Bill, my technical advisor, who always keeps in mind the best interests of readers and contributors for which I am ever grateful. Please continue sending us material, especially scans of vintage photographs that we may share and do keep telling people about Up To Rawdon.

Happy Christmas and have a wonderful 2017.

Sincerely,
Daniel B. Parkinson
