CAROLING
It's Time To Sing!
Join us for Christmas Caroling and a progressive party this year on Wednesday, December 21st.  We'll gather in two or more groups in different locations around the metro for dinner at 5:30 p.m., then carol a few of our homebound members, before winding everything up with hot chocolate and cookies.  Please let us know by December 18th if you'll be participating so we can plan appropriately.  Any questions, email Stephen Bouma.
FROM THE MODERATOR
The summer Mark and I were dating, we found ourselves on the way to Lincoln one humid night in July. As we turned off the interstate and headed into downtown, he put his finger to his lips as we passed by Memorial Stadium and whispered, “Shhhh…. That’s where God lives"...[READ MORE]
THE DONKEY'S DREAM
This Christmas on December 18th, our kids and youth will be presenting “The Donkey’s Dream," a Christmas play about the donkey who carried Mary to Bethlehem and the things he dreamed along the way. ALL kids/youth are invited to participate in this fun project, which will occupy the Advent Sundays during FIRSTKids time! Contact Katie for more information!
CHRISTMAS MEMORIES
KATIE'S MUSINGS
Last Sunday in church, we talked about Christmas memories, and in the days since, I've been reflecting on my own. The amazing private ice skating rink my dad made for us in the pasture beside our house...[READ MORE]

On Sunday, December 11th, in the Pastor’s Study following worship, we will hold a Church Chat. CHANGE THE WORLD
OUTREACH NEWS
First Central will again be collecting toiletry and cleaning items for our friends at the First Lutheran Food Pantry. This year, instead of collecting them UNDER the tree in the parlor, we thought it might be fun to try to use the items to BUILD a tree in the parlor.  There is a small group of things already assembled, so please add your items the next time you're at the church. Please bring donations before Christmas Eve to complete our masterpiece!

"God's Love Colors Everything." Order the Christmas Fund Coloring Book. The Christmas Fund, one of the UCC's four special mission offerings, enables the Pension Boards to provide pension supplements, health premium subsidies, emergency assistance to active or retired clergy families, and Christmas gift checks to hundreds of retirees and to those who are disabled.
