Clare swims the channel.
Oxfordshire I.M.P.S. trainer Clare Hamer is swimming the channel to raise money for I.M.P.S.

The challenge - 22miles = 1416 lengths of a 25 metre pool.

Clare said "I started the swim on Monday September 5th and aim to complete by Sunday December 4th 2016.
I.M.P.S. is a charity which relies on donations from people such as yourselves in order to carry on their fantastic work
"

Please sponsor Clare here.

"though this (I.M.P.S.) is an extra, we view the session as essential for our children's safety and personal development."

Following a crash during Ride London, Outdoor Traders Cycling Club member and friend, Richard Kell, very sadly died on 23rd August 2016 as a result of his injuries.

On a rainy Sunday 16th October, the club organised the OTCC 50-50-50 Ride for Richard: (at least) 50 riders cycling 50 miles and each trying to raise £50 for their chosen charity for 2016, I.M.P.S. (the Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools).

Harriet Woollard from OTCC said  “This Oxford based charity provides an injury prevention education programme for children, empowering young people to take personal responsibility for managing their own risk and equipping them with the skills to cope in an emergency. 90% of schools in Oxfordshire visit the hospital each year to learn injury prevention and emergency skills.”

Its not too late to sponsor Harriet and the team here.
You can see photos of the event on our gallery

Thank you OTCC for raising £2775 for I.M.P.S.

Thank you to all the schools (and parents) who have made a donation towards I.M.P.S.

Thank you Burford Golf Club
We love how connections work:
Emma is a teacher at Madley Park School and knows at first hand how I.M.P.S. works.

Emma joined  the abseil team to raise money in aid of I.M.P.S. in 2015

Her dad suggested to Charles  Eveson the captain of Burford Golf Club that I.M.P.S. should be one of his chosen charities.

Charles did chose I.M.P.S. (thank you) and Debbie recently went along to a presentation afternoon to collect a cheque for £618.

#joinedupthinking

If you want to join the abseil team next year, please contact us.
Every penny raised goes towards I.M.P.S. visits for
local year 6 children.

5318 of them last academic year!
we are supporting the #brakepledge
We supported Road Safety Week this year and encouraged everyone to make the Brakepledge to become a safer driver.
I.M.P.S. had a stall in the main concourse of the John Radcliffe Hospital to promote
Road Safety Week 2016.

We had 100 people promise to make the pledge and managed to persuade a few to pose for selfies.
There is still time to pledge to be a safer driver here.

Teacher Survey

We are currently carrying out a teacher survey during the I.M.P.S. sessions to find out specific information relating to the I.M.P.S. experience. We are particularly interested in finding out about how you are getting on with our new safety quiz.
We have been receiving some very positive feedback.

"The new quiz was intuitive and easy to use"

"Straightforward and fabulously clear instructions sent via email"

"All the children were able to take the quiz independently"

If you have any feedback or have any issues with the quiz please contact the I.M.P.S. office.
