Be Merry and Dance!
It's December... really it is!

If it weren't for the busy stores, I'd hardly know that the holidays were almost upon us... not a wink of snow here in Toronto, and I've been happily biking around the city as usual, without my extra warm winter layers.

Now it is time for being merry... and what makes me the most merry? Dance! Live performance! Theatre! Art!

With this message I share my joy of dance with you. What I am grateful for and what I look forward to.

Happy Holidays!

New Association with

as Fulcrum Associate

Artistic Director, Gerry Trentham, has offered me the position of "Fulcrum Associate". This association will lead to artistic and operation guidance and support through the umbrella of his company.

Part of this association allows my friends and supporters to donate to my up coming projects through Canada Helps.

Find my name in the drop down menu and your donations will go directly to my next project.

This week I am looking forward to performing at an event called "Open Open Open" at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. On Thursday night I will be performing the recent collaboration I've created with U of T's Masters student composer Xintong Wang. The composition will be performed live by, Branko Dzinovic, Juan Olivares, Tristan Durie, Linnea Thacker, and Andrew Clark.
"Seeing the Beautiful Choice and Chaos" involves a mobile audience in a journey of perspectives as they observe the dance, sound, and each other.
"Open Open Open", presented by pounds per square inch, is produced and hosted by Emma Bulpin and Cass Van Wyck and will showcase new works and works in progress in a mix of genres.
This piece will continue to grow and find more shape and detail as Xintong and I work towards another performance of "Seeing the Beautiful Choice and Chaos" at the New Music Festival in February at Walter Hall, University of Toronto. Mark February 2nd, 7:30pm in your calendar for your chance to see this project at it's most developed state!
This project is part on my on-going interest in "The End of the Road Project", a concept that follows metaphors for the end of a road; the journey through life; the challenges that cause us to make a U-turn, or stop dead in our tracks, and has lead me to many interesting collaborations and creative explorations.
I've recently been in studio and on location with these concepts as I work towards making short films and dances. I am grateful for the support of some beautiful and generous artists. Looking forward to seeing where these collaborations lead me.
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES...
Sure... I'll be honest...it was cold this weekend when I shot some film with Nick Kovats for "The End of the Road Project". I did bring lots of warm layers and I'm happy to say no colds were caught.

I can't wait to see the footage from this antique camera! Shot in a Kensington Market back alley.
This project has taken me to some pretty unique parts of Toronto! Thanks to Nick for his generous time!
