Feliz Navidad!
Jennifer and I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We are so grateful for your support and prayers this past year. We’ve seen some amazing transitions and big moves. We have now lived in Costa Rica for 3 months attending Language School 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. We thank God for you all continually because without your support and prayers, we would not be here learning Spanish. We have officially completed the first Trimester of study. We have learned so much but have a long way to go.
A Big First Coming Soon...
I want to ask you all to pray for me in a special way. Each year in January I am privileged to preach in Orizaba, Mexico at La Fe Iglesia Bautista. For the past 7 years I’ve spoken (in English with Adolfo Ruesga translating) at their anniversary service. Well, this year, Lord willing, I am going to attempt to preach my first sermon in Spanish! (Wow, just typing that out made me nervous!) Please pray for me as I prepare my message, and put into practice most of what I’ve learned so far. I am by no means fluent in Spanish yet, but I’m praying that this will be a great experience for me, and give me a taste of what it will be like one day soon. Pray that I’m understood, and that the Holy Spirit will use my weakness, and fill me with His strength. If you know me at all, you know that my passion is effectively communicating God’s word. I’m excited to try in Spanish, but I’m also nervous (OK, I admit it… I’m scared!) So please pray for me.
Pray For Our Nicaraguan Pastors
It’s surreal to realize that we are less than a year away from our ultimate goal of moving to Nicaragua permanently to do what God has called us to do. Will you also continue to pray:
-For us to learn Spanish well.
-For us to find a home to rent in or near Rivas, Nicaragua.
-God to begin preparing the hearts of Nicaraguans we will meet in the near future.
-God to supply the funds needed to purchase a vehicle when we arrive in Nicaragua. (We need $15,000 more to purchase a four wheel drive vehicle in Nicaragua)
-For the Permanent Visa process to go quickly once we move to Nicaragua.
-For the rest of our team in Nicaragua, and those who will join us one day soon.
Of all the blessings God has given us, you represent one of the biggest! Never forget, we could not do what God has called us to do without YOU! We love you, pray for you, and can’t wait for YOU to come see us in Nicaragua one day soon!
Thank You For Your Support!
