Making Dreams a Reality

“It takes people to make the dream a reality.” - Walt Disney

We want to thank you, our most esteemed partners in ministry. You have carried the Ranch and its ministries through another amazing year of ministry. The Ranch has been incredibly blessed by your continued prayers and financial donations. Without you, this place would only exist as an idea and a vision. But God, through your partnership, is turning dreams into reality.

For starters...God has used you to

...help in part to build a community garden, fund daily jobs to 7 of our local Ranch staff, run multiple weeks of summer camps for 120+ children and youth, provide wheelchairs to people in need, run multiple outreach and community development programs throughout the year, serve more than 1000 Mexicans through camps, retreats, and day events, and even more we could tell…

…but these numbers we share are simply a small attempt to quantify what happens here. These numbers fall short of expressing the true reality of what happens in the lives of those who pass through the Ranch. Each of these numbers is a person and each person has a story to share.

A  single elderly man who can now leave his house to go buy food., thanks to a wheelchair.

A  young girl who prayed to Jesus for the first time during summer camp.

A new Ranch staff member who committed his life to Christ after starting work on the Ranch.

A young youth pastor who was encouraged in his ministry by visiting the Ranch.

A local intern who made the decision to get baptized after coming to Christ the year before.

A bi-vocational Mexican pastor who now has a job on the Ranch after losing his other job.

A local government official who is asking questions about God after visiting the Ranch.

Numerous youth who have a safe place to go when their home life is a wreck.

A family who now has a more solid structure to live in and call home.

A previous Ranch intern who is now working to go into missions full-time.

And the stories could go on...

We want to thank you again for your valued partnership after another year. Your investment of prayer, time, and money do not go unnoticed, and we are honored to call you each friends and partners in ministry.

A New Year Approaches, Ministries Growing, and Capital Campaign Needs
The Ranch ministries continue to grow and are quickly outgrowing the resources we currently have on property. We are in need of a few one-time items which will greatly help us to expand and extend the ministries of the Ranch to more children, youth, and families. You can read a basic description of some of the items below. And if you have any questions about a specific items, or how to donate, please let us know and we can pass on more details. Thank you for your partnership and investment in the ministry.
Need: 15 Passenger Van
~
$12,000
We are forced to transport children and families in the Ranch truck for our events. It is not uncommon that we transport 80+ people for Ranch events and must rely on this truck and our personal vehicles for transportation, taking multiple trips down the Ranch road. You can help by giving toward the purchase of a reliable 15 passenger vehicle.
Mobile Library/Activity Bus  ~$10,000
Help us take the Ranch on wheels! We have a gracious partner, Operation Blessing Mexico, who is able to convert a mini-bus into a mobile library and activity bus. They will also provide children's books in Spanish, game and activity equipment, and gas for the ministry! We only need to get a reliable mini bus and they will do the rest! We have the local contacts to buy a bus from a reliable source; we only need to acquire a bus.
Ranch Ministry and Missions Training Center ~$150,000

The Ranch Missions and Ministry Training Center serves as a hub for missions to local and international young people and students who are interested in missions and ministry. The Training Center provides them a first-hand experience to live in community while engaging in cross-cultural missions and ministry, while at the same time being provided a biblical, intensive, holistic, and guided learning experience by caring mentors and teachers.
We are seeking to raise the remaining funds to complete the Ranch Missions and Ministry Training Center. The completed Center will greatly help to resolve the growing and burdening ministry tensions by providing additional space for Ranch staff, expanding upon our training program, and release the dorm to be used exclusively for groups. The completed Center will be able to hold 12-16 mid-term Ranch staff, a set of house parents, an additional long-term staff family, and have an additional guest room to host the myriad of guests the Ranch sees in a year.

Family News

Ali, Ava, and Kylah are all continuing to grow up quickly!  We feel that Kylah had a recent growth spurt, as she all of a sudden looks much taller to us.  Ava is excelling in gymnastics, and in November traveled with her gymnastics team to a competition.  Emily accompanied Ava and the team and got to experience chaperoning a room of gymnasts, styling hair, and aging several years watching Ava compete!  Ava did really well and enjoyed the experience.  We're thankful for the opportunity the girls have to participate in their activities here, as it also gives us the chance to meet new people.  One of the other gym moms has started coming to the Ranch to help out with our events!  She wants to begin to learn more about the horses in order to help with the horse ministry as well.

Prayer Requests

  1. Thank you for praying for our team.  We've begun the process of meeting together for prayer and encouragement as well as ministry planning, and we're really excited about the growth potential as we now have a larger staff.
  2. We continue to move forward with our Mexican non-profit status for the Ranch.  We were encouraged recently to hear that another non-profit was in process for several years, so our long wait isn't abnormal here!  Continue to pray for favor with the government as we submit paperwork.
  3. Pray for a fruitful Christmas party here at the Ranch.  We're expecting more than 100 people, and it's always an incredible opportunity to share the Gospel!
