Spring Term 2017

Tutors

All Tutor CPD - 6th January
The next TBMH Tutor’s CPD Day is on Friday 6th January 2017.

Background Information to the focus for the day

The TBMH works hard to offer training to its tutors that is relevant, can be practically used in your teaching and tackles areas that might not usually be addressed. Following tutor feedback from previous evaluations, we have organised this day to have a focus on Disability Equality Training, SEND and technology, and small group teaching. The training will have a focus on better engaging with disabled pupils and we will be working with Real Time Arts and Action on Disability, as well as with the TBMH team.

Please email info@triboroughmusichub.org by 21st Dec to indicate if you can, or cannot attend.

Yamaha Instrumental Days
at the Royal Albert Hall - 30th & 31st January

Bring your Year 5 and 6 pupils along to the world-famous Royal Albert Hall for an introduction to a range of Yamaha string, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments which the children will be able to try out for themselves. To help protect the future of instrumental ensembles Yamaha has created an opportunity to promote under-represented instruments and give pupils the chance to try them out.

The taster sessions take place at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 January 2017 (10.00-11.15am; or 11.45-13.00pm; or 13.30-14.45pm)

ENDANGERED INSTRUMENTS

WIND - oboe, bassoon, alto saxophone

BRASS - trombone, French horn, Euphonium

STRINGS - cello, double bass

ORCHESTRAL PERCUSSION - timpani, marimba, vibraphone

Schools can bring a group of 30 pupils (maximum) from Year 5 or Year 6 who they think might be interested in being exposed to these instruments. At the session’s opening presentation, pupils will get to see and hear all the instruments and afterwards get the opportunity to try them.
Please return your completed
Word version of the form to
education@royalalberthall.com
