CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE, INNOVATION AND INGENUITY IN RESEARCH
The Durban University of Technology recently hosted its Annual Research and Innovation Awards Programme (ARIAP) at the Hilton Durban Hotel in recognition of researchers and students who are have contributed towards building the research and innovation profile of the University.
The ARIAP was organised by the University’s Research Postgraduate Support Directorate under the helm of Professor Sibusiso Moyo, Director: Research and Postgraduate Support and Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research, Innovation and Engagement.
PROMOTING HIV/AIDS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING IN THE WORKPLACE
In a bid to promote understanding and fight fear with regards to HIV/AIDS in the workplace as well as in society, the HIV/AIDS Centre in partnership with the Employment Assistant Programme (EAP), both at DUT, recently hosted an AIDS Workshop which was held at the University’s Steve Biko Campus Library Complex.
The Workshop was also aimed at challenging myths, fighting prejudice and raising awareness with regards to issues pertaining to HIV/AIDS.
