President's Note
It is hard to believe that this is the last edition of the year. It wasn't that long ago when we made the change to electronic format and increased the frequency of the publishing schedule. Believe it or not, I struggle to pen a few words each month and oddly, I managed to get it done. As they say, 'tis the season to be thankful and let those words be my guide in this month's column.
Over the course of the year, I received feedback and comments in various forms from neighbors acknowledging the efforts and work we're doing which is a great indication that we're heading in the right direction! I think it's safe to say that we're glad and happy to serve. And of course, please let us know if there are any activities you'd like to see repeated as we look into the new year.
I'd like to acknowledge and thank our neighborhood sponsors; MGE, Jr's Mulch, Movin' Out, The East Side Club and Sunset Music Series, Four Lakes Veterinary Clinic, Monona Grove Nursery School, Monona East Side Business Alliance, Lake Edge Lutheran Church, and Monona Shoe Repair for their generous contributions and in taking the leap with us. Last but not least, thank you to Pinney Library for continuing to host our meetings. Be sure to pay a visit or support our neighborhood sponsors and thank them for being wonderful neighbors!
Looking ahead, we've lots of new and exciting opportunities coming to Lake Edge: new playground equipment, neighborhood public CSA site, and a rather unique opportunity to contribute to Allis Elementary and our neighborhood. Be sure to check out the articles and announcements in this edition to learn more about them! In the meanwhile, please stay warm and have a wonderful happy holidays!
