Happy Holidays!
In all the hustle and bustle, we'd like to take a moment to celebrate Girl Power 2 Cure's big milestone - 10 YEARS! We are proud to continue supporting hundreds of girls diagnosed with Rett Syndrome and their families as well as raising awareness, creating unique educational opportunities and funding research. Our work and impact reaches across the globe. We are playing a critical role in changing how our girls are educated, opening doors that were never thought possible.
Hand in hand, together we are growing hope for girls with Rett Syndrome.
Thank you for keeping the "Power" in Girl Power 2 Cure "ON"! We could not do this without you! To continue to support our cause with a year-end tax-deductible donation, donate here.

Cocktails for a Cure
This magical October evening at the Plainfield Country Club in NJ was a huge success. With 180 guests in attendance for the masquerade theme, Cocktails for a Cure raised over $107,000 in honor of Ysa and all fighting Rett Syndrome. We thank Jen and Tony Shober and their incredible team of family and friends!

Education
This year because of your support, we’ve impacted hundreds of girls and their families through Rett University. Here are just a few highlights from 2016:
- Grew to over 815 online Rett U students with over 500 course registrations this year
- 10 US and international students (Canada, UK, Poland, Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica) were awarded scholarships for online courses
- Grew to 12 online course offerings with more to come by end of the year
- Led 20 Rett U Live! training sessions in six countries impacting over 1,000 total participants including Speech Therapists, Educators, Family and Caregivers
- Provided direct services to over 30 school districts and development centers providing training and support along with in-classroom coaching and modeling with tools and resources
- Guided, supported and coached over 200 families
- Translated our Rett U Communication flip books into Dutch
Although 2016 was a banner year in reach and impact, our work is far from done. Unfortunately, there are new girls being diagnosed with Rett Syndrome every single day and still others not fully given the opportunity to thrive via access to robust communication, literacy and education.
Thank you for your support in 2016 and with your support, we look forward to impacting even MORE in 2017 and beyond!
“It is amazing to see how the common opinion on our girls’ cognition has changed here in the last few weeks since training from Rett University and Susan! Lots of people showing what their girls said or spelled with eye gaze and flip books and lots of evidence on Facebook and other social media!
We are excited as a country about what this will all mean for our Dutch girls communication and education both today and in the future! Thank you Rett University!”
