The Parent's Association will be at school tonight from 7-830 PM with one last chance for you to pick up you SSVT Apparel for the holidays.
Congratulations to Coach Gilmartin and the varsity girls basketball team on earning the team’s first victory since 2009 Friday against Avon. Cassidy Burt and Taylor McKinnon led the team with 8 points each. Taylor added 11 rebounds. Rory Sneyd also had a good game on the glass, grabbing 12 rebounds of her own. Jenna Grande led a strong defensive effort by the girls. They will look for 2 in a row when they travel to take on Rising Tide tomorrow afternoon.
The girls JV basketball team saw everyone score en route to a 41-8 season opening win over Avon on Friday. Sam Witunsky led the way with 8 points, while Nicole Perry, Hayley Brousseau, Lexi Adams, and Rian Lobo each added 6. The team will take on Avon again this Thursday.
The varsity boys basketball team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 51-38 win over Avon Friday night. Kevin Donnellan scored 17 points and Jeromy Andrade added 14 to lead the way. The team will host Avon on Thursday.
The JV boys basketball team improved to 3-0 on the year with a 36-21 win over Avon on Friday. Le’Roy Scott, Kyle Shiner, Cam Lambrinos, Chris Campbell, and Nick Podgurski led a balanced scoring effort with 5 points apiece.
The freshmen basketball team opened their season with a big win over Avon on Friday. Sean McGuirk and Jerome Overstreet played well in the win.
The hockey team played 2 strong periods but fell to Tri-County on Saturday night 3-1. Liam Uhlman scored the lone Viking goal. The team will travel to take on Mashpee/Monomoy this afternoon at 4:40. The game will be played at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center. The bus will leave school at 2:45 this afternoon.
