Winter break: the perfect time for college prep!

Here are a few things your student can do over the holidays to prepare for college.
 
Complete the FAFSA
If you and your senior haven’t completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), it's time to do so! Need help? Prepare for the ACT
All Nebraska high school juniors will take the ACT college entrance exam this spring. Here’s a list of resources to help your student prepare.
 
Search for scholarships
Our free ScholarshipQuest tool features over 2,000 Nebraska-based awards. Links to national scholarship sites are also available.
 
Update their Activities Resume
Our free Activities Resume is an easy way for students to track their extracurricular activities, accomplishments, volunteer work, and part-time jobs. The information is then readily available when they apply for scholarships and employment.
 
Volunteer
Encourage your student to volunteer. Community service can lead to scholarship opportunities!
