Hello,
Happy December! The end of 2016 is here at last and Plumer Road has some great specials to get you through the holiday season.
We celebrated our annual Twilight Fair at the end of last month which was the perfect way to ring in the holidays. Read below for look back at the festivities. For those organising their Christmas feast we also have the recipe for Jamie Oliver's delicious and easy cranberry sauce.
We hope that you all have a wonderful December. Happy Holidays!

The annual Plumer Road Twilight Fair was a great success this year! The day opened with a spectacular performance from Kambala's 50 piece marching band and an opening speech from Lucy Turnbull. The festivities continued with the arrival of Santa Claus and Mrs Claus who spent the day spreading cheer, while his elves offered free face painting.
We had more market store holders than ever before with fantastic boutique home-wares, artisan teas and handmade cards. Illustrations from Carmen Hui and Turkish towels from Twenty3 made excellent gifts for the holiday season.
Our retailers helped make the day a great success, with a gourmet BBQ from Kingsmore and delicious gelato from Adora. Attendees had the chance to win instant prizes donated from our retailers like bags of cookies from La Bretagne Patisserie, chips from Plumer Road Chickens and a magnum of red from Corkscrew Cellars.
It was a wonderful way to ring in the holidays and the perfect way for families to enjoy the beautiful weather. The petting zoo and plaster painting tent were both big hits with all of the kids. Thanks to everyone who made the day a success! We're looking forward to our 2017 Fair.

Cheat's Cranberry Sauce
Try this Christmas time saver – pick up a good jar of ready-made cranberry sauce and pimp it up with buttery apples and toasted cinnamon. It takes no time at all but delivers massive flavour!

INGREDIENTS
|
1 eating apple
1 knob of unsalted butter
1 fresh bay leaf , optional
1 cinnamon stick , or 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
1 x 250 g jar of good-quality cranberry sauce |
|
|
|
METHOD
|
1. Peel, core and chop the apple into 1cm cubes.
2. Place a pan on a medium heat with the butter, cinnamon and bay (if using). Cook for just 30 to 40 seconds, or until the cinnamon starts to catch and burn – this will bring out all those lovely, toasty flavours.
3. Stir in the apple and a swig of water, shake well to coat in the butter and leave to soften for a couple of minutes.
4. Pour in the cranberry sauce and warm through, letting all the flavours mingle, then pour into a bowl and serve.
