So, ya, Christmas is right around the corner and here I sit in Tucson AZ and its 80 degrees outside? What the heck? Well, at least I got some yard work done! LOL

After all this political stuff, I know I, for one, am glad to be getting back to "normal". Looking forward to a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous NEW YEAR!

Event Guide

Did you know that there is an "Event Guide" on the site? This guide has been developed not by only myself but a combination of those of you who chose to share your ideas with me over the years as to what works and what doesn't work when running a doll event. Even though you may have been doing events for many years, you may still find a helpful idea or tip you can implement at your next event.

Here are a few ideas from the guide...

• Contracts, registration forms and/or flyers ~ Whether emailing or having available on a website, always turn them into a "pdf" file first so they are easily printed on the other end. You can download free software to do that at http://www.cutepdf.com/. It installs a printer driver onto your computer where all you have to do is print your document to the CutePDF printer driver and it will turn your document into a pdf. That way, the person should have an easier time printing regardless of the word processing program is used in the preparation of the document.
   
• Give a $1 off with coupon, ad or flyer and chalk it up to advertising costs. Some promoters are now giving additional discounts to UFDC or area club members.
   
• Attendees love goody bags! Even if it is simply a pen and a couple of chocolate kisses or a raffle ticket. Set the mood and give out small stuffed animals or dollies at the door for free to children that attend.
