For the past three years, Julie Wiebusch, her husband and friends have traveled to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, volunteering their time, treasure and talent to the most poverty stricken of the local community.
Their Mission – teaching and helping children from the Bordo (squatter villages along the river) where houses are cobbled together out of found materials, families live on less than $1 per day, children cannot go to school because families can’t afford uniforms and supplies, and vulnerable, poor families are often targeted by nefarious elements. Julie is planning a return trip in 2017.
