Last week, we introduced the Troubleshooting Ten-Step Tango™ for Appliance Repair, a mental framework for structuring our thinking while troubleshooting any appliance. Then we applied the Ten-Step Tango™ to a couple of simple appliances (no control boards) to get used to the process and see how it works.
This week, we’re kickin’ it up a notch! We’ll use the same Ten-Step Tango™ to troubleshoot more complicated appliances with multiple control boards, digital communications, hoodoo, voodoo, and all kinda weird stuff. We’ll see that by stepping through the problem systematically, we avoid the dreaded parts changing monkey (PCM) syndrome and can successfully troubleshoot anything like real Master Samurai Techs.
Troubleshooting is the key missing skill in the appliance repair trade today. This is such an important skill for all appliance repair techs to have that we’re making the Ten-Step Tango™ available for EVERYONE to download here (please share this link with your employees and fellow techs): http://mastr.tech/tstango
If you weren’t able join us last week, that’s okay! The webinar recording is available for Professional Appliantologists and Master Samurai Tech Academy students to watch at the links below:
