colour: raw sienna
a brownish yellow

This natural earth pigment is subtly warm. While raw sienna is not as dramatic as primary yellow, it still promotes positivity and confidence.

Raw sienna blends well with other earth tones and harmonizes with turquoise greens and rusty reds.

I illustrated a
colouring book to support the community school in the village of Kobian, Guinea, West Africa. I've spent time in this village and I am a founding member of the Matoto Multicultural Arts Society. Please consider supporting the school by ordering a book! Order and info here.
Colour Tutorial:
I love using earth tones! Many of my paintings are created using pigments made from earth minerals. Burnt Sienna and Raw Sienna are two of my favourites, and I often combine them with Phthalocyanine Blue to create beautiful earthy blends and contrasts.
