Hi <<First Name>>,

Hello Ellerslie Community!!!!

It's December already and the first newsletter after our AGM. We had around 20 voting people show up. I wanted to thank Terry Allan's Catering, Treats Baked By Stephaine and Grace Point Church for helping feed the community on AGM night.

Our AGM saw two presenters; The Edmonton Public Library and also Abundant Communities. Thank you so much to them for taking time out of their schedule!

With the new elections I have been voted in for another 2 year term as your President. Two positions that were not filled and vital to our community were the Communications Director and the Social Director. Without these positions we will not be doing any more events. If you are interested in help out the community please send me a email and we can discuss what is in the available positions.

With everyone back in school I just wanted to remind the drivers in our neighborhoods to slow down during the peak hours of school going in and coming out. There has been a couple times this past month that cars have not slowed down or even stop for kids to cross the streets. We want all our kids to get home safe and sound. Please slow down and take your time in the community.

Hope you have an awesome month!

Happy Holidays!

Alicia
President

Neighbourhood Watch Update

Crime in the community
The purpose of this graph is to inform the community about police reported property crimes in the area.  This information has been captured using the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) Crime mapping website, which you can find here:  http://crimemapping.edmontonpolice.ca/ .  Please keep in mind that this is a tool developed by the EPS to keep residents informed in order to support community initiatives to crime prevention.  It is important to report all criminal activity to 911.  The non-criminal complaint line is 780-423-4567.
Any questions related to this information can be sent to neighbourhoodwatch@ellersliecommunityleague.com
Note: Theft of cars is beginning to increase in our area.  Please keep all visible items out of plain sight and remember to lock your doors.
