Join us for an evening of:
-Painting Competition -Live Music -Silent & Live Auction
12 local artists will be competing in live paintings contests. The audience gets to participate and vote for their favourite artwork.
The paintings created this night will be auctioned off by, emcee, BC Lions ambassador, Geroy Simon, to support the local artists and the local community arts council.
One of the artists participating in this event is experience art battle artist, Shannon Thiesen. "This is an opportunity to showcase local art and artists to new audiences while pushing my own boundaries." she says, "This fundraiser promotes art making as a living profession. It brings artists from all mediums, ages, backgrounds and disciplines together so that we can grow and inspire each other while engaging in a bit of fun competition."

"Semiahmoo Arts is a charity arts organization; providing arts and culture services to South Surrey and White Rock since 1974. We depend on the generous support of donors, volunteers, and community partnerships to fulfill our mission." says Executive Director Barb Nelson, "We are hosting this Fundraiser Gala to ensure we can continue to represent the arts in White Rock/South Surrey without relying so heavily on grants which can sometimes get delayed and really have a negative effect on our operations. We have been around for over 40 years and we are hoping to be around another 40.
