chieftain’s chat
Since my last message to you in August, it’s all been about the ball, so happy to be on the other side and know that those of you who came had as fabulous a night as I did!
I’m working on the ball magazine, so you’ll have all those great pictures in your hands next month.
Having my mum here for the ball meant so much, especially as it was the first time she had been on a plane by herself. Neil Barron and his band were all on the same flight too, so the meet and greet at Changi was quite a gathering!
Next year, we will be welcoming Neil and his band back to Singapore, but for 2017 the ball is going to be on a Saturday! No rushing back from work stress to contend with, so put the 25th November in your diary.
As we approach the end of 2016, I want to wish you all a very merry Christmas and fabulous start to 2017. Whether you are staying in Singapore, going on a festive holiday or heading back to colder climes, I hope Santa fulfils every wish on your list. But before you go, buy your Burns Supper tickets!
After Burns, we have a family ceilidh on the 4th March and then we can cheer on the Scottish squad for the Rugby 7s over Easter weekend. The AGM is scheduled for the 22nd April, where we’ll have a curry and quiz after the formalities.
We will have other things going on in early 2017, so I’ll keep you posted.
Hope to see you all soon.
Elaine
